"Welcome to the Legend of the Beasts! As I’m sure you’re aware, this is a Pokemon centered roleplay meant to tell a narrative story through the interactions of us, the players! As this roleplay will be so heavily story-based, I do recommend you looking over the Rules section and The World sections as they will be both heavily updated as our story moves forward.
The story does take place in a certain era of Johto’s history, (150 Years before Gold and Silver) and so I would ask that your character make sense within our world when submitting! If you have any questions, feel free to penguin/Emi/Abe/Mamoru or mod with any questions you have. You can see the guidelines for creating your character in #character-creation
Our roleplay will include random encounters (chosen by random based on the story’s current location), event encounters, and story based encounters. Story based encounters have their own character channels.
That also means that you and your partner Pokemon will have to battle! We have a simple dice system in play to simulate the somewhat rock-paper-scissors method of the games. You can find more info on that system here in #battles
As the GM I will be handling a lot of characters used to drive the plot forward, but I hope that you’ll all interact with each other to move our story forward!
Here are some helpful tips below!
-The game takes place 150 years before Gold and Silver in the Johto region.
-Pokemon not native to Johto will not be known by their canon names by Johto's population.
-Though you start with only your partner Pokemon, you will be able to encounter numerous Pokemon to join you on your journey!
-Pokemon do not speak by saying their names in this world, they make animalistic sounds unique to each species.
-Pokeballs do not exist, Pokemon partner with humans through mutual trust and understanding.
-Limited Locations are available from the beginning, more will open up as the story moves on!"
